23rd International Değirmendere Zühtü Müridoğlu Wooden Sculpture Symposium is going to be performed in Değirmendere(Kocaeli,Turkey)between the dates 12  July 2016 -29   July 2016.

The artists who participate in the symposium are expected to produce site specific sculptures for Değirmendere, of which relations with the environment have been examined in advance. Can be accessed through  http://gsf.kocaeli.edu.tr/heykelsempozyumu/  to the visual material of the places which have been designated for application and knowledge about the history of the Değirmendere.Municipality of Gölcük is liable for paying 4000 Turkish Liras(circa 1300 USD) to every artist.

APPLICATION

The application portfolios, which will be the base of choice for the jury regarding the participating artists, must contain the following:

a)  Artist’s curriculum vitae that will not exceed A4

b)  Artist’s photography

c)  Visual documentation of the artist’s  5 previous works in jpeg format

d) The sketches, model or the photograph of the model of the proposed artwork for the symposium, showing different angles, explanation report (please explanation of the proposed artwork relations with the environment), the mounting sketch, an explanation approximately amount of wood and type of additional material to be used in the proposed artwork.
