Applications are currently being accepted for Hello Studio’s 2016 Residency & Exhibition Program. Hello Studio offers a free studio space, an 800sqft exhibition space, and a dynamic art community to support the development of an artistic body of work. Our studios are located at 1420 South Alamo St, San Antonio, Texas. 

Residency period is two months, exhibition is up for one month.

2 MONTH RESIDENCY OPTIONS

Residency period: March 5, 2016 – April 30, 2016
Exhibition period: May 2016

Residency period: May 7, 2016 – June 30, 2016
Exhibition period: July 2016

Residency period: July 2, 2016 – August 31, 2016
Exhibition period: September 2016

Residency period: September 3, 2016 – October 31, 2016
Exhibition period: November 2016

All artists are expected to maintain at least 15 hours a week in their studio spaces. Beyond workspace; public events, open studios, and visits from curators will be organized and scheduled. 

Emerging and Mid-Career Texas artists or collectives working in any medium or discipline may apply. Finalists are chosen by a panel of artists and curators. Ideal candidates show significant promise and dedication to their work and are at a moment in which access to studio space and a supportive community in San Antonio, Texas will be particularly meaningful and transformative to their practice.

Free studio space is provided through our program. Residents are responsible for housing, travel, materials, etc. Hello Studio can assist accepted artists with recommendations for accommodation or suggestions of outside funding opportunities to apply for. All residents are expected to spend a minimum of 15 hours a week working in their studio.
