“And So On” is reaching out to women to create short videos that highlight individual visions. These videos will become a part of a larger installation to be given recognition in exhibition. You can play a powerful role within this patchwork because, much like a quilt, each voice in the project adds a unique perspective and alters the final piece as a whole.
Footage will be used to create a video collage as part of the “Just One Look” exhibit. The exhibit will be held in Special Collections of the University of Washington Allen Library in Seattle, WA from March 31- July 29, 2016. The theme is: “Women and Vision.”
The show will consist of specially commissioned works by over 30 top regional and national book artists examining Classic historic and literary texts based around women and vision, focusing on instances where courses of the narrative are altered by woman through the act of sight: seeing or being seen.
This video will be another extrapolation of women effecting the environment by giving voice to their physical and intellectual perspective.
