We are pleased to announce the 2016 Open Call for Artists Alliance Inc's http://artistsallianceinc.org/programs/les-studio-program">LES Studio Program. Based in Lower Manhattan and supported by public funds, the LES Studio Program provides free three and six-month residencies to under-represented, emerging and mid-career artists. Artists of all disciplines – painting, photography, sculpture, video, installation, new media – are considered for fully-funded shared studio space in the historic http://www.theclementecenter.org/">Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural and Educational Center.
The residency offers 24-hour studio access, the opportunity to present work to curators and critics through AAI-organized studio visits, a curated exhibition at Cuchifritos Gallery + Project Space (located inside the Essex Street Market) and exposure to a broad general audience during bi-annual Open Studios.
Please note that the studio space is shared between 4 artists, each studio approx 170 sq ft and partitioned without a door. Artists currently without studio space are encouraged to apply.
Application is open to US and non-US residents
