THE LISTENING BOOTH will host a series of downloadable MP3s produced by artists, writers, musicians and performers. Each MP3 will act as a dedicated gallery space for each artist. The works can be listened to online or downloaded and experienced in the world. This allows the artists to implant their work directly into their listeners’ life, but also allows the listener access to art outside a traditional gallery setting.

The project also allows a space for musicians to share work which defies classification or is unsuitable for live performance with a wider audience.

How to submit:

We will be accepting submissions to THE LISTENING BOOTH until midnight 11th October 2015.

Please email submissions to ggeorgearts@gmail.com

We are not setting briefs or specifying themes for work we exhibit, but please consider that THE LISTENING BOOTH will most likely be experienced through headphones.

The work should be able stand alone as an art piece in its own right, although it can be part of a series. You must be happy for the work to be experienced without visuals.

By submitting to THE LISTENING BOOTH you are consenting for your work to be downloaded for free. This is essential to encourage users to share work widely.

Each submission should include:

* An MP3 of the work.

* Title and credit line – i.e. Untitled, (c) A. N. Other, 2015.

* Duration.

* An artist’s statement which will be published alongside the work on ggeorgearts.com.

* A script for a supporting statement/introduction or epilogue to the work which will be read before or after your piece where appropriate. [Optional]

* A description of how the work is best experienced, for instance if you would like the listener to experience your work on their daily commute or while running. [Optional]
