Art Shape Mammoth is a national organization with the mission to enhance contemporary arts dialog by supporting the development of artists and connecting them with new communities.  ASM facilitates a nationwide artist representation and exhibition program, a community gallery and workshop space in Vermont, a near-wilderness artist residency camp in the UP of Michigan, and traveling experiential workshops in metal-casting and ceramics.

ASM is pleased to invite artists who are at a professional place in their careers to apply for our second year of representation. In this past first year, we opened the Visitor Center Artist Camp in Michigan for its inaugural Sustainable Practices Symposium, we facilitated visiting artist opportunities for ASM artists at several universities and art centers across the country, sold artwork, and curated exhibitions and artist lectures for travelling artists at venues in Wisconsin, Michigan, Vermont, California, Arizona, and at several in New York, including the Pelham Art Center, Brooklyn Wayfarers in Bushwick, Garner Art Center. We are completing our first year in September, representing ten of our artists at the Governor’s Island Art Fair. Kicking off our second year is a large exhibition in October at Millsaps College in Mississippi. We place artists in exhibitions, and work together to develop a larger creative dialog.

We will be selecting a small number of new artists to represent. We work with each artist individually, identifying goals, and applying to place their work in appropriate venues. ArtShape Mammoth is a community, we seek artists who are interested in developing an extended dialog with other artists. Many of our artists are college professors, run galleries, or demonstrate a commitment to the arts community in addition to making their work.

To apply, send the following to: artshapemammoth@gmail.com  by August 15th. Accepted artists will be notified on the 20th. Fees will be due on September 1st.  The cycle runs October 1st, 2015 - September 30th, 2016. If accepted there is a $400 annual fee.
