PROPELLER presents PHOTOWORKS 4 OPEN CALL for Toronto Area photographers.
Propeller invites participation in our 4th annual juried show of photo-based work coinciding with CONTACT, the month of photography in Toronto. Not listed with Contact, and showing at our new location, south of Queen opposite The Drake. The exhibition will take place in the South (larger) Gallery, with photographer DNA Dodds' solo show in the North Gallery.
There is no overall theme, we are looking for a broad survey of current practice. Photographic works include images made in and outside the camera - original works in analog, digital, video, scanners, photocopiers, etc.
Submissions should be from the Toronto area. Selected artist's works must be delivered and picked up without shipping.
SHOW DATES: May 13th - 31st, 2015
OPENING RECEPTION: Thursday May 14, 2015, 7 - 10 p.m.
SUBMISSION INFORMATION
• Maximum width 30 inches per artwork, including frame
• Art should be ready to hang with all hardware attached.
• Clearly label your artwork on the back
• For artwork requiring video player, screen, etc., all equipment and fastenings must be supplied by the artist, with clear installation instructions.
• 20% member commission on sales | 25% non-member commission
EXHIBITION FEE: $40.00 for the first work submitted, including HST
A maximum of 2 additional pieces may be submitted at $25.00 each. One image permitted per work.
The entry fee is non-refundable. Selection will be made by a jury of Propeller members who will not be participating in the show. Their decision is final. Hanging layout will be at Propeller's discretion. Artists dissatisfied with their location may withdraw their work, without refund of the submission fee.
DEADLINES: Submissions must be received by midnight, April 19th, 2015

• PICK UP: Sun. May 31st, 4-6 p.m. Work MUST be removed at this time.
