Muestra Marrana is an international festival about postpornography and dissident sexualities and we are looking for video and art materials for its 7th Edition.

Postpornography is any expression representing and reflecting on subversive sexualities and non-normative explicit sex. Generally these productions come from feminism, queer politics and/or from people in disagreement who don’t find on mainstream pornography a space for their bodies, practices and sexual expressions.

Muestra Marrana invites you to join us with your fabulous productions for another year: postporn, DIY, unclassificable fantasies, audiovisual perversions and video-graphic cums. Muestra Marrana VII happening soon!!!

We are extending an open call to all the perverts who want to show their dirty works/desires/films in Mexico City during La Muestra, that will take place on May 2015.

The videos will be at the DIY section (DIY = do-it-yourself) and the must be sent by through your FTP or some virtual platform (wetransfer, yousendit, rapidshare, dropbox, or similar platforms). If the language of the video is not Spanish we would love you to subtitle it. If you cannot do that, at least send us a text file with the transcripted dialogue list.

We also ask you to send the video on HD or quality enough to be projected on big screen and that don’t be heavier than 1GB.

The work cannot exceed the 14 minutes 59 seconds duration and they can be any audiovisual genre related to post-pornography/-non normative/feminist representations of sexuality (video, short film, documentary, experimental, interview, etc.) This year we want to include on the DIY section a sub-section dedicated to the postpornographic interventions on public space. So we will receive also videos of performances or direct actions that reflect the take of public space by subversive sexualities.

The dirty art (non-video) pieces will be part of the exhibition that will stay during the days of the festival. Consider the viability of bringing here your pieces (excluded video format): photography, graphic, painting, textile, little format installations, etc. We don’t have any budget for the exhibition (transport, production, set up) but you will be able to sell your works freely during it. The deadline for all applications will be March 15th, 2015.

If your work has been selected, we will contact you in the second week of April 2015.
