Call to installation and site-specific artists. An opportunity to get your work published.
The history of site-specific art is complex and is linked to the development of installation art, land art and the evolution of the idea of 'public art.' But one of the main aspects is the movement out of the gallery and museum into other sites for the purpose of exhibiting art. This Art Book seeks to showcase some of the current artists who are exploring 'location' as the main theme for their art.
The State of Art, art books are designed to capture a snapshot of current contemporary art practice. Installation and Site Specific is just one title in an ongoing series of six books published every 2 years.
Entry cost £12 per artist and you can enter up to 6 artworks per book. If selected you will join over 250 new, emerging and established artists who have already benefited from having work showcased and published in this printed art book series.
