The starting point of JOURNEY is an old Italian poem by Ludovico Ariosto “Med Orlando” published in 1516 is a continuation of Matteo Maria Boiardo’s unfinished romance Orland in Love. The poem revolves around war, love and the romantic ideal of chivalry. It mixes reality with fantasy, humor and tragedy. During the poem a great war is taking place on earth where Orlando is losing his mind and his love, with the stage being the world, a place of loss and the moon as a place where lost things are found.
The exhibition JOURNEY will search into the voyage, a trip into unknown experiences, an exploration of the body and mind, a search of things to be found, a starting point with no ending. We are constantly in movement always looking for something, restless.
