NIGHT holds a special place in the heart of photography. The geometry of light and shadow creates an interplay of mystery, possibility, and the foreboding that accompanies paths of the unknown.

This October, as Halloween looms large on the horizon, 1650 invites you to visit THE DARK SIDE: A Juried Exhibit of Night Photography. Photographic greats such as Brassai, George Tice, Peter Hujar, Weegee and Robert Brook are just a few examples of those who have contributed great works in the genre of night photography. This month, at 1650, it is your turn.

1650 Gallery is now accepting submissions for the THE DARK SIDE Night Photography Exhibition.Approximately fifty works will be chosen from submitted photographs to be included in the THE DARK SIDE exhibition at 1650 Gallery in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles.  Additional works may also be selected for an online gallery exhibition page.<br /><br />
