SUBISSION DEADLINE EXTENDED: 1OCTOBER 2014

Call for Submissions: Texts and/or visuals investigating memory.

Submission deadline: Wednesday 1 October 2014 at 12.00pm

Memory shapes the human identity. It provides the context to help define who we are, our relationships, our roles in life and how we fit into society. Memory is experienced on individual and collective levels, shaped constantly by personal interpretations and accepted collective explanations. Our memories evolve over time, get lost, are remembered, interpreted and reinterpreted time and again. Our memories are what defines what was, and help us interpret what’s next. More than any other medium, memory is most likely to shape our being, both on individual and societal levels.

1X10 is a new London based online curatorial publication. The publication investigates 1 topic through 10 different points of view, manifested in words and visuals.

The founders are interested in exploring and displaying the process of how a single topic can be interpreted differently through the eyes of 10 different people.
