Second Annual Art-Science Trading Card Exhibition + Gallery Fundraiser

What could be better than an exhibition of science-art? Miniature works of science art! Art.Science.Gallery. is hosting our Second Annual Art-Science Trading Card Exhibition + Fundraiser, which benefits the gallery’s art-science programs. The exhibit will feature hundreds of original, affordable, miniature works of science-inspired art! Many thanks to Jerry’s Artarama of Austin for sponsoring this exhibition!  Send us a mini-work of science-inspired art for our fundraiser and it will live forever in our http://artscitradingcards.tumblr.com/" target="_blank">public online library of Art-Science Trading Cards (http://artscitradingcards.tumblr.com/)and it will be included in our exhibition. Artists can also elect to participate in our trading card exchange, and receive a randomly-chosen trading card from another artist in the show!

What is an Art-Science Trading Card? 

A twist on artist trading cards, which are 2.5” x 3.5” original, tradeable artworks in any medium, Art-Science Trading Cards incorporate scientific imagery and ideas. This project is a fun and easy way to get involved in the growing science-art movement! Use our easy template to create your own original science-inspired art using any artistic medium you want.

 Why Should I Participate?

Your trading card will be digitized into our public online library of Art-Science Trading cards! You will be spreading your enthusiasm and wonder about science through your art! Your card will be exhibited in Art.Science.Gallery.’s Second Annual Art-Science Trading Card Exhibition! Your card may receive additional exhibition opportunities. For example, many 2013 submissions were recently exhibited at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport! You will have a chance to win a prize-pack from Jerry’s Artarama and Art.Science.Gallery. for Best Card in one of five categories: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geo/Planetary Sciences and Other. Your card will be supporting our community space where art and science come together. Your participation directly supports our 100% locally owned and operated small business as we continue our mission of engaging our community in the sciences through the visual arts!
