"In an effort to raise awareness of wealth distribution and its impact on the poor in America the Wealth Gap Club is calling on like minded artists to submit works. The exhibit will be one of many programs including a planned protest, and a key note speaking event by Vandana Shiva and many great fighters for the end of poverty.

The 400 richest people in America have the combined wealth of 1.7trillion which is larger than the combined wealth of the bottom 60% (200,000,000 Americans) of Americans who have 1.6 trillion dollars and the state of this distribution is only getting larger. These are the richest 1% and they own 1/3rd of USA net worth. This does not promote a cohesive society but one that reinforces conflict as a way of life. We have the power to protest and fight for the future generations survival and freedoms.

The Wright Museum of Art will be hosting the exhibition component of the week's worth of events starting on the 21st of January. We are seeking any and all forms of media that relate to the topic of the American wealth gap, poverty, protest, and instigating change. The final selections will be installed in our South Gallery. Oversized works and installation/performance pieces will be considered.

Please reply to this open call with digital images and a relevant bio or cv. All submissions will be responded to. Works must be ready to hang/install and either hand delivered or shipped via commercial shipping agents. Feel free to call or write for further information. No submission fee required.
