Seeking works for exhibition. The show is a reflection or visual interpretation of the critically acclaimed book "Beyond the Beautiful Forevers." If you haven't read the book, it's okay--we are looking for visual art that communicates the following themes:

Garbage. Poverty. Corruption. Caste. Slums and squatters. The negative effects of hyper-capitalism. The effect of modern Western Values on modernizing non-Western societies.

This historic non-fiction work follows "characters" who make their living out of collecting, sorting, and selling the trash created by their more fortunate countrymen. The living conditions are horrendous, the local officials are so corrupt that corruption becomes a social norm, and the elites look on with disdain or indifference.

In a society where a caste system determines one's station, even within the trash caste a hierarchy organically unfolds.

Lord of the Flies meets Slumdog Millionaire.

Jesco goes to Bollywood.

Still not sure? Send me some pictures.
