The Walking City Project is the result of collaboration between “Galería Alternativa” (Spain) and “Spazio 36 ArchiArte Palermo” (Italia). Its aim is to represent, through Photography, cities around the world as well as the relationship between people and their environment.

Works.

• The dimensions of the images will be A3 size (42x29,7cm), with a maximum of two photographs per person, and will have to be sent by email with a resolution of, at least, 300ppp, jpg/jpeg format.
• The Organization will be responsible for the printing of all the images, establishing a minimum fee of participation, which will be determined depending on what number of works enter the competition (between 10-15€, due to production costs).

Stages:

• Step 1. Sending of the works.
Any person who wants to participate in this contest must send an e-mail to: spazioalternativo@hotmail.com writing in the subject: The walking city.

It is necessary to indicate the following information of the contestant: personal details (name, age, city and country of origin). Number of images, digital photograph attached (30ppp), title of the image, place and date of the shot.

• Step 2. Receipt.

All works must be sent via e-mail until 2nd of January 2012. The Organization won’t take works received after this date into consideration. An e-mail will be sent to all contestants after the deadline, in order to inform about the project and the quantity of the fee.

• Step 3. Fee payment.
Once the contestant has received the confirmation e-mail, fee payment must be done by bank transfer to the Organization account (details on the bottom), deadline on 16th of January 2012. Fee payment is obligatory and necessary to print the works, to be admitted in the exhibition and guarantee its participation.

Acceptance of the basis:

The Organization will keep in contact with contestants, who consent the Organization to spread their name and its graphic representation.
All contestants will be informed of the exhibition date, which will take place in exhibition and cultural area “Spazio 36 ArchiArte” (Palermo, Sicily, Italia), Via XX Settembre. 36, to later conform a travelling exhibition by different European cities.
Participation in the contest involves the acceptance of these basis and the conformity with the Organization’s decision.
The Organization reserves the right to modify the conditions of the contract and the set dates.
