Arts@Renaissance is an innovative 4,500 square foot arts space in the restored outpatient building of the Greenpoint Hospital that serves as a bridge between North Brooklyn’s vibrant long-term communities and the area’s emerging creative population through the development of new multi-disciplinary work, residencies, workshops, and collaborative neighborhood art projects. We are part of St. Nicks Alliance, a neighborhood non-profit that offers programs in affordable housing, workforce development, economic development, home care and youth benefiting low and moderate income individuals and families.

A@R seeks proposals for the space from artists, curators, and organizations for our site-specific residency program. The residency empowers artists to create interactive new work with a public component in any of our eight distinct rooms over the course of three months.  We seek proposals with strong artistic merit that are grounded in a relevancy to the broader North Brooklyn community.  The space can be used for work of any discipline including but not limited to performance, dance, theater, installation, visual arts, sculpture, film, media, arts in education and immersive work. We encourage work that incorporates multiple disciplines.

A@R provides access and utilization of the space from 7a- 10p, 7 days a week and utilization of the space for all events and performances outside of normal business hours; use of equipment including drills, paint & audio equipment, staff assistance on Monday-Friday 9a- 5p; marketing to A@R’s mailing list and outreach to press for events including a large poster at the space.
