cherrycake studios is a new, independent artists' residency opening in 2012, in vibrant George Town on the tropical island of Penang, in Malaysia.

Residencies are offered for 1-3 months - or longer, by negotiation - and are self-funded and self-catering. Accommodation is modern, with air-conditioned bedrooms, open-plan studios and shared living spaces. cherrycake studios is on the edge of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed site of George Town, within walking distance of all of central George Town's many attractions.
