Residency and workshop centre SERDE invites professionals within the field of visual art to apply to 9th International Cast Iron Art Symposium.

9th International Cast Iron Art Symposium will be held on July 5-15, 2012 at the Residency and workshop centre SERDE in Aizpute, Latvia.

The application should include: CV, photos from recent works, project proposal or draft.

During the symposium we offer: the technical help and consultations, technical equipment and materials - cast iron max. 20 kg per person (for bigger object we offer cast iron for additional price), accomodation in SERDES residency centre.

During the symposium we expect the artists will take part in whole casting process and will be able to work independently for creation of casting boxes.

We do not cover - artists travel costs to and from residencies place.

Artists don't have obligation to leave some of his/her work to the residency place or organizators. All artworks belongs to authors.

The symposium fee is 300 Euro (symposium fees will cover the catering, accomodation costs and materials for up to 20kg object.)

Application deadline: 1 of March, 2012.
