Matadero Madrid // El Ranchito announces an open call to facilitate the creation of collaborative networks and promote artistic production by offering artist-in-residence programmes and making work spaces available. It is aimed at artists and cultural agents from any creative or artistic field who reside or primarily work in Madrid. There are two non-exclusive forms of participation:

Artist-in-residence: four residencies are available for artists who do not reside in Madrid (whether Spanish or international) and come recommended by artists and cultural agents who are city residents in order to develop a joint or collaborative project. The residencies can last from 3 to 6 weeks between May and December 2011. The project resulting from the residency will enjoy additional financial support for its production and form part of El Ranchito’s programme of activities.

Work spaces for artists: different work modules are available for the city’s artists and collectives that may need them to develop a new project over a period of 3 months maximum. In addition to the spaces allocated individually, shared work spaces and common meeting areas are also available.
