Next Episode Pittsburgh is pleased to announce its first Open Call for Artist Proposals. The Open Call is an opportunity for Pittsburgh-based artists to submit proposals for temporary public artworks, performances, or site-specific installations in any medium.

Application materials will be reviewed to commission artists for our inaugural series of exhibitions and programs, to be presented at various locations throughout the city of Pittsburgh beginning in May 2011.

Interested artists should submit the following no later than February 25, 2011:

-A brief statement explaining their project idea, proposed location WITHIN THE CITY OF PITTSBURGH OR ENVIRONS, and relationship between the artwork and site in which it is to be presented.

-A CV and 5-10 digital samples of recent artwork (images, video, or audio).

Eligible artists must live and work in the greater Pittsburgh area. A small honorarium and material costs will be provided for artists selected to participate.
