This photography series is the second in a trilogy of explorations of femininity in the urban landscape. By juxtaposing the harsh urban scenery, comprised of asphalt, concrete, metal and glass and filled with rushing people, with a colorful, soft, anachronistic and otherworldly feminine presence invoking the powers of nature and magic through ceremony creates a fragile tension. This series was created as part of my residency at the Makor Artist in Residence program, Fall 2006-2007. Character in Red: Vered Sivan.
