Katya Grokhovsky was born in Odessa, Soviet Ukraine and came to Melbourne, Australia in 1992 with her family. The highlights of her education include a Children's Diploma of Fine Arts from Odessa Art School, (Ukraine), an Honours degree in Fashion Design, (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Melbourne, Australia) an incomplete MA in Fashion from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, (London, UK), which she terminated in order to pursue her true one passion, contemporary visual arts.
