In the center of the Gallery, a Chinese takeout lunch box, accurately reproduced following the exact original proportions and 28.8 times in size. Chinese characters painted on the walls means “Made in China.” On the box are historical cultural revolution slogans and symbols, and alphabetical barcode stands for “NEXT SUPER POWER.”
Inside the box, three video documentations of my performances in China, 2007 projections on different walls. My figure will exit one screen and then enter the next screen in a looping manner. Each screen depict the past, present and future of China.
