I am a contemporary artist who explores figurative representation. My medium is a combination of graphite, charcoal, pastel and conte. With a passion for making things come to life on paper using erasers as my primary drawing tool; it is essential to find a new way of doing something different or discovering new scopes in the realm of my imagination. I love exploring art as it changes everyday and creating it for everyone to see.

I’ve considered myself an artist since the age of 5 and have explored a variety of mediums until  I became fascinated with charcoal which is sometimes as complex as myself. I brand myself as an eco-conscious artist who uses recycled and non-toxic based materials. My work deals with themes of spirituality, sexual vulnerability and also tells a subtle story that embraces individual personalities.  

I often use photographs of live models to plan what the theme will be and mentally propose what I want to see accomplished with each drawing. The “white process” is a technique which I use a variety of erasers to create the form on paper layered with black graphite. This allows me to get rich black on black, vivid whites/colors and various hues of grays without overworking the drawing.

The medium that I use is dirty and the technique intricate, but I’ve found it to be an invigorating, challenging, workable solid liquid that’s also fun, frustrating and delicate. Charcoal is a material that requires patience, and in the end it is how I create beautiful works of art that is often described as stunning and breathtaking.                                             

I want each drawing in my collection to display an emotional impact and invoke a visual relationship that is both original and co-interactive.
