She was born in 1975 in Lima, Peru. She studied Fine Arts in her country and continued her studies in Spain. She has exhibited her work in a number of cultural and artistic institutions in Peru and in Spain. She has been living in this country for five years now and conducts research and creates artistic projects that raise awareness about the social impact of immigration in the lives of immigrants. She has conducted these projects for non-profit organizations, foundations and various institutions related to this profile.
Her work as a visual artist is based on her research about identity, nation and the otherness, the contact of human beings with their vital spaces, the poetics of space, reterritorialization and resistance. As an artist, Guadalupe prefers a multidisciplinary approach using photography, painting, experimental audio, video installations and cartography.
She is currently working on projects concerning the socio-cultural contributions generated by the vital demographic movements produced by immigration.

XIII Prize for Young and emergent Artists of the Madrid City Council, with the project Moving, in this I created the moving company and the brand VENIDADEAMERICA.
We take the past with us. The objects we carry in moving boxes are permeated with our past.
As we start to unpack our moving boxes, in order to show the objects or to put them in order, both the good and bad events of the past begin to materialize. Events narrated with words. In this case, words replace objects. The object-word, as an element, suggests presence and absence of being, a test of existence or a transitory record, the transcendence of subject or object, the individual or collective memory, souvenir and what's forgotten, the physical and the ethereal.
The installation MOVING and the company VENIDADEAMERICA was created to show the moment when we start packaging everything to move or to migrate: the way we have to put boxes in a car, in a van in order to start a new life. In some cases, we do not have any help from friends nor family. That’s why this company helps people put in order and classify not only their belongings, but also their memories. VENIDADEAMERICA tries to help people put their words in order too… to put their thoughts in order. We keep with us the past or we carried it in our boxes. Boxes carry objects; however, symbolically they represent our own discourse, the shape of our identity and the way it is modified by the migrating experience. Our memory of the past permeate every single object we carry, therefore it becomes more than an object, a symbol of our moving experience.
