CONNECTING CLIMATE GUESTS WITH DANISH HOMES
From July to November 2009, climate activists and other foreign guests in need of accommodation during the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen (COP15) have been able to sign up at this website.
During this same period, the Wooloo.org team and our volunteers have been campaigning for hospitality among private Danish families.
We are very happy to announce that this initiative - NEW LIFE COPENHAGEN - has secured free accommodation for more than 3.000 activists who otherwise would not have been able to Copenhagen and voice their opinion during the Climate Change Conference from December 7th to 18th, 2009.

Q: Who are the people behind NEW LIFE COPENHAGEN?
A:NEW LIFE COPENHAGEN is organized by the art community Wooloo.org with the help from a team of wonderful volunteers and other great people.
NEW LIFE COPENHAGEN is a non-profit initiative supported by the Danish Arts Council, Nordic Culture Point, the City of Copenhagen, the Danish Art Foundation, the Branding Denmark Fund, and People's Climate Action.
Q: How did you secure accommodation for so many people?
A: Through street campaigns, online networking and word of mouth we have asked the local people of Copenhagen and its surrounding area to host the climate activists on their sofas and floors. We very happily surprised when so many started to support our initiative.
Q: Why do all the guests not just stay in hotels?
A: Because all hotels in Copenhagen and the surrounding area (including Sweden) have already been booked by representatives from the most powerful nations and organizations. Furthermore, even if they were available, many visitors from all over the world would not be able to afford them anyway due to the high prices.
Q: How is this an art festival?
A: NEW LIFE COPENHAGEN is an unconventional art festival. Instead of inviting artists to contribute art for a traditional exhibition space, we have chosen to utilize hospitality and the human encounter as our exhibition platform.
The purpose of NEW LIFE COPENHAGEN is to create a breeding ground for new ways of living together and to empower our participants to develop alternative modes of constructing reality.
