Monroe Palace desconstruction

Monroe building was originally designed to represent Brazil in 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exhibition, and in 1906 it was rebuilt in downtown Rio. Its demolition in 1976 was very controversially and the reason was the subway that actually didn t pass by the original place of Monroe Palace. The Brazilian Federal Senate was established there for a long period.and for its historical importance and the beauty of its architecture people ask why it was demolished. Since the beginning I realize the importance of the building, photographed all the demolition and keep it for 30 years.
