Parade

This Parade consists of a group of figures of animals and humans, a procession of living things through their lives on the planet. It includes  solitary figures as well as interacting pieces in vignettes that I think of as parade “floats”. The figures continue to evolve and find new relationships with each other, and with the other beings created by other artists, such as Riki Moss. The figures are from 10-24 inches high, made from found wood, metal, and other materials that I have rescued from what I think of as the Planetary Dumpster. These materials, that would be slowly degraded and composted in the natural course of things, suggest the ephemeral nature of all physical reality on our planet.
