A Man, A Name, A Face

Whether you got the Death Penalty (DP) or Life Without the possibility Of Parole (LWOP) you are entombed in prison up until the day of your death. Most probably the day you were booked in Prison was the same day that somebody lost the key to your cell or was thrown away on purpose. By time you might get the occasional visit; but you are warehoused so far away that your family does not have the economical means to travel some 10 or 20 hours one way to hear your voice through a phone and see your face for an hour behind glass in San Quentin, Pelican Bay or Susanville. By time even the letters stop coming, there is nothing much, new or exciting to talk about; apart from the fact that she might already be seeing someone else… You are now lost in the system forever. You are now a number. You are a number, with no name, and no face.
