South London Botanical Institute Installation- Findings

Findings   The Installation is made up of forty photographs taken by the artist throughout the space of the South London Botanical Institute and beyond. Each image has been masked through a process of scratching and/or painting. The work seeks to explore the differences between subjective memory and remembered knowledge, as well as the truthfulness of image making in relation to the natural world and the passing of time. Through working into the surface of the photographic image, which is forever in the past, the artist seeks to return it to the physical present.
