H.W. Carter Vest Puzzle

Following a pattern designed by the Carter Factory and re-developed by Carol Curtis, I have fabricated a box (puzzle) holding a pattern for a quilted winter vest. At H.W. Carter, each garment was pieced from a 120-layer stack of material. This form created by the negative space of the removed fabric influenced this sculpture.
