David Ebeltoft completed his BFA in Photography and Museum Studies at the College of Santa Fe in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2002. His work, which has been exhibited and collected nationwide, draws upon the fine print tradition rooted within photography and is then combined with new interpretations of the photographs presentation. His most recent series, Residential, is based on the symbolic and aesthetic nature of residencies in his hometown of Dickinson, North Dakota.

Drawn to film by its visual explanation of the narrative and its efficacy as a collaborative system, David penned the feature length script, You Were Once Called Queen City. The script won the coveted Grand Prize at the Philadelphia Screenplay Festival and was also awarded one of three Feature Development Awards in the highly competitive 2008 Bluecat Screenwriting Lab Competition. David has written for the music-themed television show Noise Floor, and has been a creative consultant on several projects for Denver-based producer and director, Kelly Magelky.

David currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
