Maurizio Chiantone born in Naples in 1958. He began his career as an artist and musician in the late ’70s. In the ’80s he made up the group On Raku, laboratory research on languages and sounds, based in Naples which are tested structures and how to create concerning the relationship between man, media and technology. Growing a constant attention to the possibility of combination of codes, between the distinctive and transverse elements they contain and dynamic and creative potential in making an event. The research areas are directed more to that of the visual and sound art. He began a careful study on the relationship between phonemes, signs, perception and environment in a holistic, minimalist direction. He participated in numerous concerts as a musician. Its versatility allows it to expand in areas of culture and style ranging from jazz to contemporary, from serial… music to world music, from baroque to electronics to the acousmatic to pure experimentation.

Works on multiple levels of interest: compositional, educational and planning as they grow up collaboration of thought and to share with painters, photographers, architects, sculptors, designers, poets, actors, choreographers, designers.

In 2002 he founded the Studio Blucode that deals with services for the communication and together with Fabio Barisani, graphic designer, make up Blucode LAP [Live Action Performance] an area, a container, a concept in which to merge their different professional backgrounds and the free creative research.

In 2004 he founded the project Ruminanze©. Ruminanze explores the re-mediation of languages. The several media concur to create a specific place in space and time where actors and users interact. Analogical and digital techniques coexist. Multimedia and multimodal collective writings constitute themselves as moments of interpenetration, not only between different media but between the creative productions of single. The hybridization and coexistence of randomness and project are harbingers of unpredictable outcomes.
