Trained at the State University of New York, Timothy Stachecki takes many of his modes of expression from life, nature and subsequent opportunities in technology and evolving mediums. Currently working as both a freelance photographer, and fine art portrait illustrator/photographer, Timothy finds the evolution of portraiture both uplifting and universal in its appeal. Recent work in more abstract painting as unleashed a degree of expression thats both exciting and gaining attention around the country. Three exhibitions are planned for 2008."There is an ever changing nature to depicting people and emotion that pushes the boundaries of how we vew emotion. Intimacy, sexuality, sensuality and race are bound up in our common conversation about what faces mean. Being able to show this evolution is why i do what i do. We are creatures of physical language, conditioned subconsciously to react to the nuance and minute changes of the human face. Capturing that has been passionately rewarding and challenging all at the same time. Taken a step further, color and shape also influence mood and reaction. My work depicting lines and rock forms have an immediate effect that I see over and over."
