OIO is an artist group, it was a duo consisting of the Greek composer and pianist Antonis Anissegos (jazz, new music, electronics, experimental music) and the Japanese artist Erika Matsunami (performance, video and sound art, installations) until september 2009. This duo has been collaborating since 2004; both artists have been involved in OIO since late 2006. OIO is based in Berlin and operates much like a collective form.

The project “still/silent” 

“still/silent” is a serial project developed in 2007 in collaboration with Antonis Anissegos. We worked as an artists’ collective called OIO up until September 2009 and “still/silent” was conceived and performed at various exhibitions and festivals in different locations. The project “still/silent” in 2010  by OIO EXPAND is a collaboration with Chris Dahlgren, a Berlin-based American composer and instrumentalist.
