Named one of MovieMaker Magazine's "20 Coolest Film Festivals", the Toronto Urban Film Festival (TUFF) reaches over 1.3 million daily commuters who ride the Toronto subway system.
The festival screens 1-minute silent shorts with an urban theme. Films screen every 10 minutes on digital platform screens in 60 subways stations and at specified film zones.
This year, internationally acclaimed documentary filmmaker, Jennifer Baichwal (Manufactured Landscapes), will be selecting the top films of the festival.
TUFF takes place September 7 - 17, 2012 concurrent with the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
TUFF is open to Canadian and international submissions of silent, 1-minute film, video and animation. The deadline is July 15th, 2012.
Submit free before May 31, 2012. After June 1, 2012 a $20 fee will apply.
