While occupying a space, I build it within myself and myself into it. My internal rhythm is directed by that space, I am lines, and departure and destination. In a crowd I am crowded.* 

Responding to the relationship between body and environment* I embark upon an Investigation of the ambiguous nature of the present. I am particularly interested in the role of memory in the act of perception and the sometimes intangible line between truth and illusion that operates here.*

Using the disperse processes of movement, text, drawing and stitch I enact time- consuming activities to render and re-interpret image. The repetition intrinsic to pattern through its application to or installation within space, is used to interrogate memory within the context of phenomenology* with a particular, but not total, focus on the visual.* 

1* Energy Between things is observed and re- drawn.

2* Inside/outside- Observation of both how we project desire and sentiment onto our environment through acts of imagination whilst at the same time perceiving how the external elements of our environments shapes our emotions. Question which is more potent in the shaping of reality?

3* Memory and Remembering- what defines knowing something?

4* Experience perceived through the senses, as I understand it.

5* The act of looking both in the work of the artist and the viewer is referenced in both the rendering of image and the framing of the work.
