Hello, I am Art. I am contributing in the role as a Catalyst in The Flash Job Campaign from June 1st - 15th. Throughout this project I will dedicate my blog to the stories, FAQ's and tips and tricks and I might have. My first contribution is to publish the text I submitted in my application for the project.
Among the eleven Catalysts and the two writers (from the Project "Open Dialogues") we agreed to share our application-texts, since this seems like a fair way to start our relationship.

There are several reasons of my praticpating.
First is that as i wrote earlier, i want to make a change. I loved your idea from the first time i heard about it. You ask why a visual artist want to take action on the street? Well, i'm interested in visual art only if it has the ability to change things for real, if it says more than one can see.
In my opinion a true communication sometimes appears to be one sentence, which is much more than thousands of billions of images. A decisive moment is in our every breath.
I truly belive that a Flash Job Campain is the project which can really change people's lives. Mine too.
As I see it, it works on many levels, changing perspectives of some crucial things for young people.
One of them is communication. This project restores the belief of true communication which somehow has been lost in our western civilisation.
Another thing is that thanks to this project young people possibly will begin to organise their free time in more creative and constructive way. They will also learn to work in team to achieve common goals. Their feeling of self-confidence will get better too. It is really amazing !!
For me art is worth as much as it can change. That's why I'm interested in projects combining art and social matters especially if art can solve problems in real world outside galleries and museums. I earned a degree in philosophy not art, but life interests me most. You know, here in Poland we have many "Neukoelns".I belive that I can learn something from you, how to deal with things here.
