Crannonballs incorporates the history of Peeksill NY, the birth place of the Crayola Crayon, and it's historic ties to the Revolutionary war in an installation which covered the entire town. Our team of four, Christopher Frederick, Cindy Moore, Mark Stockton, and I made hundreds of cannon balls from crayon wax and embedded them in various locations throughout the city. The main focus of the installation was a pile of wax cannonballs placed next to the original cannon which fired the shots that lead to the British capture. |
