|
My own body acts as artist, model, and medium. Through related performances, installations, prints, and drawings I explore the relationship of body art and figuration to abstraction, evoking the body’s presence through its “trace” and replication. I print with my cut hair onto paper, architecture, and my own skin. This work explores hair and its dual associations with desire and repulsion, as female decoration and display, as a signifier of identity and a disguise.
