In recent years I have been preoccupied with subjects related to the human condition and our emotions. Subjects like: the Earth, Peace, Justice, and Love. I feel alive and free when investigating what it is that makes life worth living. Art allows me to interpret the nature of our existence and sense my own being.
As an artist I express my thoughts on life through art installations and paintings and employ all sorts of materials – anything at hand. My art engages my entire psyche and draws on my personal experience.

Mahmoud Alibadi uses -apart from his oilcolours- all available material in his paintings: Cooking oil, soy sauce, torn pieces of paper or cloth e.t.c. His paintings are build upon many layers and seems at one time transparent and yet dense.
Alibadi has an eminent ability to see the beautiful in the ugly, the interesting in the unnoticed.
If God is in the detail, beauty is in the smallest of fragments.
His expression is rich and many-sided, wonderful and compelling.
One approaches his pictures with great curiosity and then cannot leave. There is something going on here, something both important and beautiful.
One can find melancholic moods in his works, but also the lighter strokes that rings like crisp music.
Mahmoud Alibadi´s latest exhibition was called "Earth" and is so characteristic of his way of thinking:
The planet Earth is made of earth. It’s what we walk on. It’s what we are a part of.
So simple, so complex. And so strong in it’s metaphysical understanding of the connection between all matters.
Mahmoud Alibadi has come far in his discovery of the possibilities of painting.
His pictures must be sensed like quiet music heard from far away. He is an artist who never shouts with his artistic effects. Rather he whispers his strong message. Beautifully and sensitively.
